Customer Reviews

We absolutely loved this stay! The Canal boat had everything we needed and our boys loved it! The marina it’s in is quite quiet and there are some lovely walks along the canal to enjoy. I had wondered if it might be a little cold and damp in February but that couldn’t be further from the truth, the coal fire kept the whole boat lovely and toasty! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The location is lovely, with a beautiful canal right there. You can walk to many areas of natural beauty, including on the 5000-year-old Ridgeway trail. You can also walk to lovely towns like Aldbury and Berkhempsted, the latter with many pubs... Overall, staying on this static boat was a good experience, and we learned about living on a boat. The owners are a lovely couple, and we would rent again for a long weekend with the same boat moving along the canal.
